There are many ways you can be apart of the work that we do at The Green School. Whether through financial donations, volunteering, gifts of kind, or supporting fundraisers, you too are able to make a vital contribution to our students' education and the Harbour Island community.

Direct bank transfers are accepted. We ask anyone who chooses this method to please contact the office and send a screenshot or receipt of donation. Funds can be transferred to:

Ways to volunteer
Semester Internship
The Green School welcomes high school graduates, college students, or professionals who'd like to intern for a period time.

While semester long internships are preferable, we'd love to work with volunteers to design a short term position that can utilize and develop their skills as well as support the mission and vision of the school.
Program Volunteering
There are a number of specialty programs that our institution is constantly developing and improving. These include our:

Green Friday Program that focuses on sustainability issues in The Bahamas.

Special Services Program that focuses on improving functioning of special students through counselling and special education.

Event Volunteering
The school often hosts events and fundraisers, such as Sustainability Expos, Theater Productions, Variety Shows, Movie Nights etc.

These are normally hosted and organized by our staff who are always looking for volunteers to help out during these busy times.
Gifts of Kind
Gifts in kind, also referred to as in-kind donations, is a kind of charitable giving in which, instead of giving money to buy needed goods and services, the goods and services themselves are given. Check out our giving tree below to check out what gifts the school would greatly appreciate!
